Black Box. Anna Tchorzewska Geoghegan

I was born 5th January 1981 in Zamosc, Poland. Studied Administration at University of Maria Curii - Sklodowska in Lublin, finished with BA degree in Administration. Working for a year in MDK in Zamosc, afterschool art and cultural classes for kids.

 I am working with Michael Walsh Photography since 5 last years, that involve promotion, social media update and Trade Shows attendance, also fallowing production process and logistic. Specification of work allowed me to travel a lot around Europe to update information’s about the new products on the market, trends and innovations and to keep friendships with people from my business circle.

In February I organize exhibition of Marcin Kowalik art in Sol Art Gallery, Dawson Street. Event was support by series of lectures in European Union House and NCAD in Dublin.

Opening was provided by the Minister Jimmy Deenihan and Ambassador Marcin Nawrot; great guests arrived in a big number. Following the success we achieved and the interest we received we would like to extend the project to involve Irish artists. First of the international compilation is reserved already, November 2013 in Stalowa  Gallery in Warsaw.”Meanings” put on view three main artists Tommy Barr(Northern Ireland) Oliver Whelan(NCAD Dublin) and Marcin Kowalik(ASP Cracow) Opening was provided by Ambassador of Ireland in Warsaw His Excellency Eugenie Hutchinson. From September 2013 I was working over the project of Dublin Biennial 2014, was lunched in June 2014, with over 50 artists and over 20 from Ireland, was a great success. Contemporary pieces artists like Sonia Falcone, Andrew Duggan, Christina Oiticicia, Gavin Turk, Deva Wolfram and Nigel Rolfe and Guggi were exhibit for 2 week in CHQ Building Gallery. Great cooperation with Maggie Magee as Director of Biennial and team of great volunteers. Opening provided by Lord Mayor of Dublin Oisin Quinn, Minister of Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan and Mannix Flynn, also many guests from the Embassies for ex.  Japan and Portugal.  All materials at the website www.dublinbiennial.com

Anna Tchorzewska-Geoghegan is the Founder and Director of Black-Box, a not for profit organisation supporting art exchange programmes. She is an experienced marketing consultant, event manager and curator.

 

Anna has 7 years experience working in Dublin on the management of campaigns and events in the art and retail sectors. She has a strong sense of aesthetics and design and has experience in delivering projects in industry sectors where attention to detail and presentation are critical.

 

She has created a non-profit organization mainly to promote art and artists who should be seen. But also to support the human rights equality and freedom for every individual, to express himself and to be seen and heard.
